Re: BRAND NEW PART for D-series caterventilation!!

Please describe the catchtank you have designed. Is this just the charcoal filter? How are you drawing the fumes out of the crankcase with no -ve manifold depression?

Dyno aswell please!

An engine can only flow so much for a given power output. You want the right diameter TB for the flow rate you need, any bigger and your flow velocity will drop.

You can work this out reasonably easily.

By all means prove what is best by doing a back to back comparison.

Re: BRAND NEW PART for D-series caterventilation!!

I still dont understand the benefit of this, currently the crankcase fumes go to the charcoal filter (blackbox) and then they are vented to the inlet manifold and burnt.

What does this modification do?

Please correct me if I'm wrong

Re: Coolant Colour

Sounds like headgsasket to me man. Do you have oil in your coolant yet? If burnt petrol is getting in your coolant This also means that coolant is getting into your engine and burning this is why you have smoke in your exhaust. This could also explain the crappy engine running if the coolant is coat...

Re: Sebastix D14Z1 dyno history

I'm glad you've seen positive results.

What makes you think you have headlift? Is coolant burning or mixing with oil?

If the head is actually lifting then the only thing I can think of to cure it would be to increase head bolt tightening torque. Do you use aftermarket bolts?

Re: Sebastix D14Z1 dyno history

Great results man! As Joris said it looks like it might carry on making power have you not increase the RPM for reliability reasons?

Would You care to explain why this is the case he doesn't mention anywhere why he does the things he does.

Nick's post makes sense, I'd bring both TB so you can do back to back and prove once and for all.

Re: Oil Leak from intake tube

To me it also looks like a high amount of oil in intake piping. Keep diagnosing and let us know how it goes. :)
