D14A4 OBD1

http://i.share.pho.to/910932e8_ss.jpeg Some fresh dyno session after being too lean on the map for too long. AFR was from 18 to 25 all over tha range. After session there is still some problem with high rpm AFR readings, dunno the reason, maybe some injector issue or dizzy misalignment (it was repl...

Getting p06 and chipping it seems better option in your situation.

Re: z6 vs y8 IM

Depends on setup, but in general the z6 will make power higher than stock. Mine is at its best from 6800 - 7500, but after that the power fades quick.
If you go turbo you may use the bigger plenum of the y8, other than that i don't see any benefit.

Re: the max hp d14a3 build thread :)

I have tried to convince my tuner to go turbo on my d14a4 but he refused twice:) The first and only thing he showed me was the size of the connecting rods of that engine, i mean they are extremely thin! The point of the guy was that it is inevitable that the NM will brake the rods eventually. (and h...

Re: flywheel replace!

Hi guys, i've found out that d15 vtec-e engines have the lightest flywheel of all d-series at 7.00 kg (compared with 7,100 -7,300 of d14a3/4). What is more interesting is that it turns out that "d15economic" flywheels have two sizes of OEM clutches -one is 200 mm as the d14 and the other i...

Re: Audio system

I have the Focal 165 A1 SG component system on the doors and they almost didn't fit. We had to cut a litle bit from the plastic but not a big deal. 80 000km and they are still in place:)
Very satisfied with the front line though!

Re: Wheels you fancy

The first ones are my favorites! They seem to be a good replica of the Rays Volk's TE37, and come in 15'' size also!
saxpohonias, do you have any feedback on those, because i feel like getting a set.
Also do you guys think that they will look good on 15'' size?

Re: Cold Air Intakes, Airboxes and Scoops

I plan on drilling the chassis after feeling the hot summer reflecting on engine performance.
What is your opinion about the type of piping to use, lenght, shape etc?
And is there is a real benefit in drawing air from the bumper to filter...Did someone measure it on a dyno?
