Re: Cylinder Head Gasket

I can confirm that you can use both gaskets. First time when I build my engine I had used d16z6 gasket, second time I used D14Z2 gasket.

Re: Piston and rod size of the D14A3/A4/Z1/Z2

Man thats very cool news, I wonder how different it is. I would like to use a Y8 head and these Z2 pistons on my mini-me to bump up compression even further. I will recommend you to use D13 pistons because their deck height is positive. It will give you more compression than Z2 pistons. 1.3mm skimm...

Re: Piston and rod size of the D14A3/A4/Z1/Z2

wow. So this means more compression for d14z? Yes, It is a little more compression but is more than d14a4. Guess it is the contrary not? No, it isn't contrary. It is almost flat. I regret that I didn't took pictures of the two pistons, but I was in a hurry for building the engine for the race seaso...

Re: Specifications of stock ej9 braking system and wheels

I can say that EJ9 98-00 or facelift model (like mine) came with 262 mm discs with EK4 (EG6) caliper. Now I'm driving with OEM brake pads from my other suspension from EG6. Before that I bought ferodo ds2500 pads for VTi (EK4, EG6) and they fit. I'm with nissins calipers. Cheers :)

Re: Piston and rod size of the D14A3/A4/Z1/Z2

D14A4 pistons are different from D14Z2 pistons. I'm sorry that I can't provide pics but when I rebuild my D14Z2 engine I found the difference of the two pistons. D14A4 piston dish is deeper than D14Z2. D14Z2 is almost flat. The piston code was something like PXHG. But I will check it out again to be...

Re: good brake setups

For track days I will recommend to use ceramic or carbon disk with ceramic pads (expensive option) or OEM disks with some semi-performance pads like ds2500.

Re: good brake setups

I used to drive brembo max and ferodo ds2500 and I can tell that brembo max sux, 20 000 km and discs are twisted. I had to grind them so I can drive normally. About the pads I can tell only good things, never failed me.
