Re: OBD2B to OBD1 Conversion for a 99 Civic - Can it be done?

240cc injectors are good enough for the power you want. if i am right even s2000 has 240cc injectors for 240hp That's for a normally aspirated engine. For a turbocharged stock engine you need low afrs in the 11~11.5 range to minimize risk of blowing engine. The BSFC in a turbocharged engine is arou...

Valve Seals

I'm going to be putting my d16z6 head in a few weeks and i decided to change my valve seals while i'm at it. Are the valve seals on the z6 head same with the d14z2 ones? I remember reading somewhere that all b,d series valve seals are same.

Re: OBD2B to OBD1 Conversion for a 99 Civic - Can it be done?

the turbo starts spooling around 3000 rpm and by 3500 i get around 0.3-0.4 bar boost. By 4500 0.7bar boost is achieved and thats the rpm it actually kicks in. Power doesnt drop till redline. I guess its the best turbo for a stock engine to reach 180-200 hp. ps: sebastix's website is down so i couldn...

I'm also still confused if i need the dizzy or not due due different comments on this subject on the internet. It would be really great if we had a howto article on this. to sebastix: if yo...

Re: Aftermarket Flywheels

Even when using the FJT rods (which will fit fine) , it's too dumb to put this into a D14 engine. You're looking at modifying your crank girdle ,oil pump, oil pan and what not .Just get a D15 engine for 50 euros or so and use a D16z6 oil pump it's a lot easier safes you money and it's a lot stronger...

Re: D14 strength, D14 + Turbo + Vtec crazy?

D16a6 pistons have too small valve relieves in the pistons and they are under a different angle. You'll end up smashing your valves with the pistons.Do not use those in a D14a4/A3 .As i said many times before aftermarket D16y8 pistons are your best choice. i mean forged turbo pistons for d16a6 which...

Re: Aftermarket Flywheels

A JDM D15B crank is basicly a D15 crank with D16 rod journals. And i just researched this from my books and you are right D15b7 /D15b2 crank journals are 45mm and D14a4/A3 are also .I was confused with the D15z6 which has bigger crank journals. So it might fit in a D14 but i'm still not sure if it w...
