Re: Piston and rod size of the D14A3/A4/Z1/Z2

Ah, I see. Nop, you can use Rover 216 GTi/Coupe (Tomcat) pistons, as the engine is D16A9 as Concerto/CRX one. Gearboxes are different, Rovers using Honda engine have mechanical clutch, instead of hydraulic ones. And K and L Series Rover, have very different gearboxes, they don't fit into our engines...

Re: Aftermarket Rod and Pistons.

SP, yes, but I don't think they are forged, and here in PT pistons are "cheap", so spending I little bit more money can give higher engine quality!

Re: Piston and rod size of the D14A3/A4/Z1/Z2

I guess none. D15B2/7 uses higher dome than D16Z6, but still not higher than piston borders, its "flat" so to speak. A better piston than the ones I got are PM7 from D16A9, are the ones with the highest dome OEM! http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e140/jlicrx/P29top1-2.jpg I'm getting more ...

Re: Get a head start on handling with the '98+ EJ9

Saxophonias, usually car insurance in Portugal costs medium of 250€.

Its higher/lower depending on drivers age, number of acidents, car's power/displacement, but it goes around that value.

D14A2 pistons

Why does D14A2/D16Z6 head produce more power than a full D16Z6 engine?

Your answer was documented through pictures!

Re: Aftermarket Rod and Pistons.

Demolik, that is because Suzuki Vitara pistons, being 75mm wide are compatible with D Series STD engines, but they lower CR values to just slightly higher than 8:1.

Re: General discussion about exhauts

HondaNickx, Saxophonias is right.

Other than full inox, most brands use aluminox, which corrodes. Also, exhaust manifolds tend to crack near soldiers, when they do crack.

But I don't argue that they might be the best thing to power output on hole powerband.

Excelent torque, great lines.

Can't wait to VTEC my D14 and see how it goes, hope I won't lose the flat torque shape. ;)

Re: General discussion about exhauts

Law, Bisimoto headers look like this:

This is a B-Series engine. As the Exhaust Manifold shape isn't ordinary, it is likely that it interferes with A/C Radiator, or P/S pump.
