hi,
regarding air pockets steve, would this not of been resolved when i got the coolant system bled?If not how can i fix?

007-- By thermostat valve what do you mean?the actual stat itself?because iv changed that too.
The water pump has never been changed, so im gonna change it regardless.

hi, thanks for the replies. sometimes when the car is overheating the fans are not on, yet sometimes during overheating they are on?! which is why i thought il try a permenant wire up to the fan to see if this resolves anything. hi, if the thermoswitch is the sensor going into the thermostat iv already replaced it, no change. The fan comes on fine, ie when you let it sit on drive warming up then fan will kick in.but when car is fully overheating sometimes the fans are ON yet the temp doesnt go down, which i why i suspect it...

hey guys a quick question about decats.... I know odb2b cars will throw an error code if you decat(because of the sensor in the cat)-But mine is obd1 now, so am i right in saying if i fit a decat it wont throw an error code?il just need to bung the hole in the decat pipe? hi, first thanks to everyone for trying to help In the back of my mind i do think it is the head gasket but there seems no other symptoms, so iv got down the route of two things-a dodgy temp guage(as sax sed) or waterpump.its never been replaced and iv been told this may explain why i can generally ...

it is very weird, didnt get chance to do the fan wireup so me and a pal are doing it tonite. Basically if it still overheats with a constant fan on, then i am seriously outta luck/ideas. And if i cannot solve the overheating issue then the dreaded 'buy another car' is guna come out in conversation.....

hi, i dont no of any that are longer, however i got my d14z2 cam reground and the screws were just long enough at max lift.I just made sure i did em abit tighter

unfortunatly it overheats lights on or off.This is realy doin my head in, as everytime i use it i picture the head frying!! Me and a pal are going to wire the fan to the ignition, so it will always be on when ignition is on -we are doing this as whenever the car overheats the fan never cuts in, so i...
