Bernoulli's principle
Hi guys, I know I have been silent a lot the past years, but one of the many many reasons was that I had some discussions about the venturi effect under cars with some people. It eventually made me decide to make a venturi and demonstrate the effect. And now I actually made a Youtube video out of it...

Re: Steering feedback-Caster angle
Hmmmm... should that be a difference between 5th gen and 6th gen perhaps? I varied the caster by lowering on a 5th gen chassis, never studied it on 6th gen chassis.

Re: d13 to d14 swap. help!!!
Welcome to the board, please introduce yourself at the appropiate section as well. I guess getting the electronics to work means investing in reading the workshopmanuals for both models and combining it somewehere. The electrical wiring is very different in both cars so it will be a lot of work. The...

Re: Driving ergonomics during long distance driving
Apart from changin seat for a better than stock one (I hate one thing about EJ9, that is the seats!)... going from downflow to sideflow IM makes for need of a shorter length throttle cable which is lighter to push and therefore might lower strength needed. But the real advice is already given... go ...

Re: Steering feedback-Caster angle
I would say yes. Lowering indeed increases camber to negative (that I love about Honda Civics). But yes it also changes caster towards negative. I lower my cars a lot and on different height settings. With the EJ1 chassis I went so low that caster became 0. That means the self-centering of the car o...

Re: difference between stock springs
I once put EK4 springs on my EJ9 ... that was my moment of shame. The car simply had the nose up in the air, caught an insane amount of wind, drove terrible and mileage sucked. So yes, the weight of a B-series engine is apparently much more than D so they change spring rate/length at least OEM. Ow I...

Re: Supercharger model
Ah finally... I have always been on the lookout for this SC. By using a double sided belt they did it. Not actually considering it right now. But it might be a nice boost for my B16B to get it from 200 to 300 bhp range. But it probably will not match the 10.8 CR unless I get a cam with huge overlap....

Re: d14a8 tuning
We have an almost stock EJ9 4-door right now and a stock MB9 Aerodeck as well. So the 115bhp version. Both cars are tested and the EJ9 has 106 bhp, MB9 has 115 bhp. However the weight of the cars is a huge difference and the aerodynamics. In a race the EJ9 will still beat the MB9, it differs so much...

Re: Spring rates civic /integra
My K-Sports under the EJ1 brake down in the meantime (2 dampers started leaking after 4 years, I consider myself lucky since other people had it as soon as 2 months). The D2 under the EJ9 are now donated to the EJ1... and surprise surprise I always found the EJ9 stiffer, but now the D2's are under t...
