Re: Driving ergonomics during long distance driving

I thought that i was the only one that couldn't find his place in the ej9 driving position....i think the real problem are the seats, which are very uncomfortable and does not have any support..also the pedals are positioned slightly to the right so you sit on one side.. I think you can swap seats w...

Re: Performance air filters

I will check if the induction pipes are dirty and respond to you. i have several thousands of km on that filter without cleaning it, and if the pipe is clean inside then I'll have the answer:) ..I have the suspicion that the difference may not be so big.

Re: D16Z6 clutch vs D14 clutch

I have bad experience with my clutch so far. Not that it's not working, but it slips a lot when trying to apply sudden power. I think the stock one is good for regular tamed driving style. It will last long but the power losses will increase in time, especially if you drag race a little bit in the c...

Re: Performance air filters

I had been thinking about the difference between original performance filters and Chinese one's. Personally i have some kind of a Simota type filter with plastic heatshield. I just don't know what is the difference between them and how the hell are they better when looking almost exactly the same. W...

Re: Cooling and Warm up

It is normal not to turn the heater untill the engine reches working temperature. But when that happens and you put on the heater, the temp should not drop much if the termostat is ok. If it drops to zero point then you know its the termostat and you have to change it.

Re: Diffusors

It looks ok, but i don't think its functional. They are using the lip to create the diffuser, but that way the angle is too small to let the air escape before the bumper. In addition, to be effective in guiding the air in a controlled manner the small vertical wings on the diffuser should be a lot b...

Re: PART NUMBERS FOR EJ9

You have a lot of sh*t collected there man, just like me before i turned the aircon and blew it in a plastic bag:) The interesting thing is that there was no paper filter in place when i opened the container.
Sorry for the off topic

Re: Cooling and Warm up

Ej9's have problems with the termostat. They tend to bend with time. Mine was leaking fluid so I've replaced it. The stock unit is for 78 degrees, but there are replacements for above 80. Some people cover the front grill during the winter..and if its too cold that's the only option...especially on ...

Re: Supercharger model

Thats why i want to use SR motor. They do not tend to wear or generate much heat...simple solutions like air cooling should do the job.

Re: Supercharger model

Welcome over  8-) Actually the speed is controllable via the em management unit. About the drawbacks: I agree that there will be losses, but i suggest that the losses are there also with the belt driven compressors. As I've mentioned some of them could draw up to 100bhp. The benefit of em o...
