Re: Problem with turbo D14A4

I have a turbo setup on my D14A4, there's still a bit to do though. I have and inlet manifold and engine loom from a D16y7 and just noticed that the distributor plugs don't match up and also the plug that goes into the reverse light I think? Do I need a different loom or do I need a distributor off...

Re: Cams for D14

Thanks for the input Nick! Lately bisi has been going slow as for d-series enthousiasm i guess, so maybe this could be a good non-vtec cam alternative? I wouldn't deal with Bisimoto anymore. After the whole scam with his made in china Headers and crap welds and other things he got a lot of negative ...

Re: Cams for D14

Lately Rocket Motorsports has gotten a great reputation with regrinding cams and making new billet cams. Here are some Camshaft specs of their Facebook page https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1P-xHuhImvYKNxchDRv5Dls_745u97t9TiNJBc8mbKiE/edit?pli=1#gid=0 https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1P-...

Re: Where is the TA sensor on D16Y8 intake manifold

I think Dodo just made a wrong choice of words or a typo. The IAT sensor needs to be in the intake pipe before the throttle body,if you're using the stock D14a4 or D16y8 sensor. (They are both the same) The D16z6 intake manifold has the stock iat sensor in the intake manifold,i just plugged that hol...

Re: D14 /y7 head flow numbers

I know this is a really old thread and I am sorry for bumping it. I was hoping someone saved the flow data pictures of the Z6 and Y8 heads as it shows critical data for stock and ported which is not easily obtainable for formula use. The head pictures are there but the flow data is not. Did anyone ...

Re: Cams for D14

That's a Lot of Valve Lift on the intake side , and a lot of timing. My Bisimoto Level 2 regrinded D14 cam has about 8.5mm of lift on the intake side. Also exhaust lift is allready 8.3mm on my level 1 regrinded cam . Those cam specs are more based on D16 cams afaik, and those are really not "Stra...

Re: Optimum exhaust diameter

Thanks for the input so far! But have you found any particular difference when comparing the 50mm to the 55mm exhaust system? I'm generally learning towards a 55mm exhaust system. BUT, as far as I know, must headers for the D series engines have a 50mm collector. Hence my following train of thought...
