Re: Optimum exhaust diameter

I've used several different types 50mm , 55mm and 60mm .To be honest 50 or 55mm would be the best . 60mm if you're going to turbocharge the D14,For D14 N/A form 50mm is more then enough. EK9 and ITR exhaust is 57mm outside and they are around 185-190hp with 1.6 to 1.8L . So a 1.4L that is going to g...

Re: Aftermarket Rod and Pistons.

Wrong , that is D16z6 and D16y7 specs. If you look closely D16y8 is 1.154" = 29.3mm OEM compression height for Z6 and Y7 is always 30mm Y8 is always 29.3mm . Some turbo piston are lower then stock and are 29.8mm for z6/Y7 . Arias didn't list those correctly .D16y8 can never be at 30mm compressi...

Re: Cheap Stronger OEM connecting rod D14

Most of the times in the middle. The D14 rods is even from top to bottem in the width. The EV1 rod goes smaller when it goes to the top .I think the quality back in 1986 was worse then they made in 1996.(It only makes sence if you think about it ) They both most likely will handle the same power becau...

Re: Cheap Stronger OEM connecting rod D14

I'll keep you guys posted with detailed pictures and measurements of the rods.I also weigh them on a scale ;) . Going from the pictures i've seen of the EV2 rods they look to be not as big as i initially thought. But they do look bigger then our stock rods for sure.If i would compare them true pictu...

Re: Cheap Stronger OEM connecting rod D14

how are we sure they are stronger? By the looks? Yes first of all i went by the looks ,they look much thicker forged pieces then the stock d14a4 pieces. If no one ever tries something or looks for something new we still be driving our stock D14 engines without intake manifold swap and obd tuning. W...

Re: Cheap Stronger OEM connecting rod D14

Cheap Stronger OEM connecting rod D14

I have found cheap connecting rods that fit our D14a4/A3/Z2 engines and they are much stronger then the stock ones. They are exactly the same connecting rods as our stock ones in dimensions but much stronger. These are the ones that crower lists on their website as 1986-1987 Civic /CRX 1.3L 1342cc. I...
