Re: IAT Sensor
Hmm, I had done the coolant by-pass thing, negating the hoses that go into the RACV and just having it loop back into itself, will this affect the ECT and therefore idle?

IAT Sensor
what does the IAT sensor affect exactly? I had a fault with mine recently and it felt like the car operated as normal, and after fixing the problem, it still felt the same
I wonder if maybe i have it set up wrong and thats why my idle is always kinda low?

Re: Non-Silicate Coolant
I read online on a forum that because we have an aluminium radiator, aluminium cylinder head and the design of the water pump seal, we need to have it silicate free, or the water pump seal will fail and additionaly it will slowly (over a long period of time) erode away the aluminium parts But then a...

Non-Silicate Coolant
Is it really that important that your coolant be silicate free? I was reading about it and it seems like only Honda are picky about this

Re: d14 Im swap problems
if thats a d16y8 manifold then i dont think you have a spot for the sensor, you'd have to make a hole for it in your intake tube
i dont think this is whats causing your idle problem though, i was thinking you had a blank hole where the sensor is placed causing a leak but i guess not

Re: d14 Im swap problems
that black sensor is the IAT sensor, which is meant to go into your manifold. It might be on the side of the 4th runner, or at the back of your manifold, look for it. http://www.dodo-upgrades.nl/imswapd14a34_bestanden/image008.jpg if you didn't get one with the manifold, then buy one. Would also mea...

I thought the point was to reduce noise without reducing power, but I could be wrong

Re: OBX Twinloop
Yeah you buy the muffler only but i wasnt sure if you can make some kind of adapter to fit it or if you needed to change the piping
