1999 FL D14 OBD1 coversion with P28 ECU
Hi folks, I know this thing has probably been covered in different posts already but since this all is a little confusing to gather together, I was hoping you guys could perhaps still help me here ... I own a FL 1999 Civic, currently having made these mods: - D16 Intake manifold with 190 ccm injecto...

P9A B000 Gearbox from a MB 1.6
Hi folks, as I have been pretty unfortunate trying to swap my stock D14 gearbox with an ESi (d16z6) one (seller sold me a 1.5 gearbox P20 A000 instead), I found an oportunity to mount a MB 1.6 (d16w3 engine code) gearbox with a stamped code P9A B000. Now, the fella owning it told me there are virtua...

Re: Wind deflectors
Never had an issue with Climairs on my other car - however, are the OEM ones reasonably priced?

Never tried Hekos before but did use Climair which do the job great - they are more expensive though, 50ish for a front pair only...

Re: D14 with D16Z6 gearbox
Found the reason.
I managed to squeeze under the car yesterday and checked the penny sized engraving on the gearbox: P20 A000.
From what I read this indicates it's a D15 DX gearbox with a 4.058 FD and longer gear ratios than used in a stock D14A3 transmission...

Re: Strange Sound after D16 Intake Manifold Swap
Same sound here exactly after IM replacement. I was told this is the sound of injectors caused by improper sealing. New injector seals are suposed to solve this....Yet to try it out.

Re: D14 with D16Z6 gearbox
If I remember correctly, I hit the limiter prior to comming to 100km/h before (with a D14 tranny). Same setup (wheels, tires). Buddy of mine, having same modifications (D16 EM, IM, VTI intake, D16 tranny), tops out at around 90km/h mark. I cant see any numbers on the gearbox- the plate has obviously...

EJ9 Front bumper: inner splash guards or air barriers?
Hey guys, while trying to deal with some stubborn screws on my license plate holder (previous owner sure didn't care about this ever getting off), I discovered there are two thin sheets of plastic fixed on a bumper from inner side: - one larger, square shaped, slightly bigger than a A4 paper format ...

Re: D14 with D16Z6 gearbox
Hey folks, I have just put a D16z6 gearbox on my EJ9 and now I'm curious how come in 2nd gear I can go well over 100km/h before the limiter kicks in: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=01i7PnTt8l4 (dont mind my poor attempt - tires are just too sticky - should probably rev the engine higher but I'm sca...
