Re: erratic overheating
if you say the fans are on and yet the temp is on the rise, then wiring up a direct fan switch will not solve the issue. try the bubble test to see if the head gasket is leaky. if possible a compression and / or leakdown test too. finally, next time it overheats, try turning the cabin heater on full...

Re: erratic overheating
if compression is leaking from the head gasket to the water jacket, you should be able to see tiny bubbles with the engine running and radiator cap taken off. going by the symptoms you describe, I have a strong suspicion it is your fan relay and / or thermoswitch [2 pin thing sticking out of the the...

Re: D13Y8
the rev limit is set at 7500 RPM. the tacho is wonky because of all the crap I painted the needle with. :) it under reads until the halfway mark and over reads after that because of the extra weight. the drop from first to second gear is massive because of the gear ratios [3.23 and 1.7]. I still nee...

Re: some intresting about block D-Serie
D13, D14 and D15 are indeed the same block. if I remember correctly, the block code is P2A. the belt difference could be because of different tensioner size.

Re: non power steering
I recently deleted my PS assembly completely. I've driven without the PS belt before and it felt really crappy when the wheels weren't rolling. I guess this was because of the fluid being unable to circulate and creating a lot of resistance in addition to the usual weight of the steering and wheels....

wow. it's been a while. after what seems like ages, successfully rewired and tucked the engine harness [more details here: http://www.d-series.org/forums/engine-management/160262-engine-wiring.html ], intake and exhaust revision [ http://gearheads.in/showthread.php?5233-Old-Honda-City-New-Chapter-Th...

Re: D13Y8
thanks Joris. it has been a while since then and is getting better now. made a lot of changes to the map [yet to find the sweet spot], changed the header, intake, did a wire tuck, etc... I will post about them soon.

Re: LPG
will check them out. I also saw that Keihin Corp made LPG injectors. however, for the moment I bought myself a set of 240cc injectors for 10 USD which did not end up to be in very good shape. before consigning them to the trash heap, I might as well have my fun with them and learn something.
