Re: non power steering

I agree with 007 I want to do the same to reduce clutter as i have already tucked most of my wiring harness and shaved the engine bay (rust, holes and seems) and wanted to get rid of the PS to make it look more naked and the fuel pump (to an inline fuel filter setup) and get a braided clutch cable. ...

Re: erratic overheating

Hey Tom I don't mean to thread jack but wanted to throw in my recent experience regarding the heating issue you are having that i had yesterday and only ONE occasion last summer. NOTE: car is turbo'd Last year I did a long blast against a Prelude 2.2 vtec (beat him) on the motor way towards Heathrow...

Re: non power steering

Dude this post gave me a real boost in confidence to do this, when I come around to doing it. 007, you stated that you had looped the PS system, have you considered using a reservoir as a breather so that it can relieve more pressure without losing fluid? After much reading this seems to be the most...

Re: non power steering

When I owned my 98 Civic it had a manual rack (roll up windows etc) car was light and the handling felt awesome. Since I owned my 99 model Civic with power steering things felt disconnected with the road, couldn't feel whats going on but handles with ease. My manual rack handled so well too, I remem...

Re: clutch compatability

When it comes to changing the clutch it would be done by a mechanic and not by myself. I just wanted to find out if there was a new OEM D16 replacement flywheel that could be bought for cheaper than an aftermarket one but if not then i guess the only options is aftermarket. I can pick a F1 lightened...

Re: clutch compatability

Hi thanks for your tip, I also hear that Daiken (Exedy) as an OEM part are ok, however at the moment my D14 clutch cant cope all that well with my turbo power yet still most days it seems to be ok. I was wondered if a D16 clutch and flywheel (OEM) would be enough to take approx 200 bhp as i dont hav...

Re: clutch compatability

I just drove home now and bloody hell my clutch is really bad, cant put power down at all. I need something cost effective as I don't have much to play with and also need to upgrade my radiator hence a little tight on money. D16 clutches sounds interesting, where can I get the ACT and other good clu...

Re: clutch compatability

Talking about clutch capability my clutch I now believe is slipping. When I am trying to foot it for speed, I hear the engine rev and stays high but the car seems to no where, it does not pick up speed until a while later also with the power I have now, down shifting and pressing for power also wont...

Re: LPG

hahaha lol I'm posting this comment here also as I too need to keep a track of this and really wanted to learn the exact steps to fit an LPG to our D14 Civics. Could you (hondamake) do a proper walk-through with pictures as this would kinda be exclusive to dodo-upgrades because i cant seem to find a...

Re: Wheel Spin

LOL Dude I just woke up and jumped straight on here and when I read your post it was like some clear wisdom with some mad effects (partly due to be feeling dizzy waking up and feeling so tired) I agree with you on the stock shocks and just lowering springs as I once had Tein S tech springs that were...
