Re: Hybrid gearboxes. In search of the perfect gear ratios.
As in that topic, I got the 4.25 .
Question that ran my mind a time ago: HRV have D-series engines isn't it? Have they similar gearboxes? I am afraid not since wheelbase is smaller... but if they are compatibly look at those ratios, even shorter isn't it?

Re: [App] Tool for Gear Ratio Analysis
Nice, I tried it and looked good. Final gear put to 4.25 gives results exactly as I expected it including measurement error of the gauges. I was already convinced that I have the 4.25, but this backs it up. Thnx.

Re: Is this worth it? Shell Hx7 10w40
I always run Helix 10W40 in my D14A3... don't know if there are more variations (Hx7, never paid attention to it?). But I would say no problem . Otherwise 5W40 oils can give a little less friction? I got it in my B16B, also Shell something.

Re: ASR swaybar kit
My neighbour has an EJ9 chassis, currently fitted with a B18 engine. Under it he has placed an MB brake swap. Don't know exaclty which control arms were needed, but as soon as he gets back from holiday I'll ask.

Re: The mini-me project. Head swap
There are two others running in the neighbourhood, I think both cam close to 140 bhp.
Actually thinking of a retune of my setup, doubting its power right now.

Re: EK9 body kit
The track I usually run at (Zandvoort Netherlands) I have a 175, a 140/150 and a 160 km corner when I drive the B16B and the chicane is not present. My D14A3 will have same speed in the 140/150 one, tho others I probably can't reach those speeds. Hmmmm, I am still in doubt for the EJ1 body (which ha...

Re: High Flow Catalysts and Test Pipes.
My B16B has had a testpipe as well for a while. It was silent! There is a OEM EK9 muffler at the aft, that takes out all the noise. Seems like I could virtually do anything before the muffler what I wanted and it does not change sound. MOT big fail right now... waiting for the racing cat, I actually...
