Re: Skunk2 intake manifold
Yeah, but I am not that content with it. After an entire manifold + TB change from D16Z6 to Skunk2 specs I only got a few tiny hps at the top of my torque curve. At that time money/hp ratio seemed bad. But I still got it and it may have worked out very nice with the Skunk2 cam. I believe this since ...

Re: Cams for D14
Warning: only D-series with the spark plugs on the front can swap cams. The old D15B2 and D15B7 etc. have spark plugs on the back side, indicating a completely different cam layout that does not fit a D14 head.

Get a head start on handling with the '98+ EJ9
One of the facts many Civic owners and even Honda dealerships do or did not know long time are that the '98 EJ9 together with the facelift EJ9 from '99-'00 are fitted with 262 mm front brakes instead of 242 and that they also have a sway bar. Since most people are not aware of this difference, most ...

Personal experiences D2 and K-Sport
My EJ9 chassis is fitted with a 3 year old D2 set (normal road). Spring rates are said to be 12 kg/mm front and 6 kg/mm back. Default damper advise is too weak. I adjusted dampers to 4.5 of 6 rounds front and 4 of 6 rounds at the back. Makes the car neutral during initial steering. Performance is st...

Re: Specifications of stock Ecus
EDM P3X (D14A3) and P3Y (D14A4) In this post the OBD (OBD2a?) sheme of the Sfi (Simplified Fuel injection) engines D14A3/A4 are presented EDM (Europen Domestic Market) style. Some connections are different from car to car. Those are marked grey. These pinouts are very alike pinouts that used for cer...

Piston and rod size of the D14A3/A4/Z1/Z2
When you want to upgrade the pistons and or rods of a D14 little is known about the exact specs inside those engines. Therfore a few years ago I bought a spare D14A4 block myself that was in bad shape and took it apart. It seems the rod is very similar to the older D13B2 rods for which aftermarket r...

My personal D14A3 evolution, from 75 to 145 bhp
First time I dynoed was with open air intake, D16Z6 IM, 4-2-1 header and 55mm exhaust with stock cat. ECU was Crome tuned without the aid of AFR. Still 116 bhp... though enough people could get more hp from it in this setup. http://www.dodo-upgrades.nl/obd1swapd14a34_bestanden/image037.jpg With the ...
