Re: Which tyre size and wheel to choose?

Okay I'll try and find some cheap rims on ebay that'll fit. Our cars arte 4x100 right? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/15-INCH-ALLOY-WHEELS-4X100-WITH-GOOD-TYRES-VW-HONDA-/170986413049?pt=UK_CarParts_Acc_Wheels_tyres_Rims_Car_Wheels_ET&hash=item27cf959bf9 Looking at something like this. What offset ar...

Re: Which tyre size and wheel to choose?

I'm willing to sacrifice comfort for sport. I want stiffer sidewalls and high grip in wet and dry. Anything will be an upgrade at the moment. I was thinking of spending £50 per tyre? Can that get me some good stuff? Need cheap rims so maybe stock 14" EJ9 steelies? How low profile could I go to ...

Re: Which tyre size and wheel to choose?

My front tyres are bald and I want get some good replacements but I don't know anything about tyre brands. What should I go for? What size? At the moment I have 13" wheels which I really want to upgrade to 14 or 15 for stiffer sidewalls. I also want to keep rolling radius correct (as close as p...

Re: Cylinder head overhaul-Ideas?

I know exactly how you feel...! Yep the feeler gauge straight method is good enough as long as you know what its supposed to be (service manual). TBH I think its more likely to be a head issue than block but whilst you are there you should flush coolant and oil. Do you know if the oil and coolant ar...

Re: non power steering

I would just like to add some engineering opinion to this argument. I've been considering this myself and really want to carry out the "looped inlet-outlet" procedure. However I have some reservations, in particular: Remember that the rack and pinion of this car was designed to be power as...

Re: Cylinder head overhaul-Ideas?

Damn, well at least you're getting it sorted. You can buy head overhaul kits usually which have everything you would need inc. gaskets, valve stem oil seals, etc: http://store.autodynamics-honda.com/hop2acyhegao.html Whilst there you might as well go further and increase compression ratio (if you pl...
