Re: D14 turbo top speed?
On GPS my NA D14 untuned now 202 kph. 5th gear 180~190 kph. On the dial this is more like 215 and 190 respectively. Once had 223 on the dial in 4th, but ages ago and no GPS. Autobahn testing naturally.

Re: D14A4 turbo obd1 distibutor problem
My reply is later than late, but for anyone reading... the crank timing might be off (crankshaft not being aligned with its own pulley). This happens when somebody puts on the pulley and forgets or drops the wood-ruff key. I have had this... cam looked two teeth off (though it wasn't since it later ...

Re: Limited Slip Differentials
I am sure my D14 tranny needs 35mm bearing sized LSD. Getting me a helical right now. So measured my diff. What I extrapolate is that the D16Y7 engines also need 35mm LSD. This since the service manuals found online refer to the thrust shims that are 72mm for D14 and D16Y7. Which is the outer size o...

Re: Specifications of stock d14 gearboxes
Guys. It is 2015, I have to build up my car in 2,5 month from now and I have been slacking the last 4 years. But today I opened up the tranny and clutch and got this info: My stock D14A3 tranny found in the 1.4i City Civic in 1998 has the short final (4.059, not 4.058 rounded up! I was completelely ...

Re: d14a1 dyno results and suggestions
@Neman. Graph actually looks ok. Cannot say that VTEC should change much since I hardly see a shift in power at 5600. Max torque is very good... so I wonder. If you say 6070 is actually 7070. How come? Software? In that case power is calcualted wrong perhaps (or torque is lower...) If anything is wr...
