Re: D14 with D16Z6 gearbox

Is this info (A000 vs B000) written in the gearbox? BR for Japan and US is written for UK made boxes I don't remember It is a reasoanble deduction that the d13 d14 and maybe d15 engines have the smaller bearings and also smaller flywheels/clutches due to their lack of power right? However what happ...

Re: D14 with D16Z6 gearbox

S40 have better forks than s20.
Also B000 have bigger bearings than A000 in both s20 and s40, due to this reason d16z6 (b000) is stronger.
As for D14A6/7/8 gearboxes have shorter final gear ratio and some gears too, so shorter gear ratio=faster acceleration

Re: difference between stock springs

Yes, I know that topic and it is very helpful.
I am talking about official information from Eibach.
Once I send email to Eibach about the spring rate but they didn't answered the question they gave some other advices for my other questions

I guess yes, they must be softer.
But there is no official information from Eibach.

Re: difference between stock springs

there is no height problem with the dc2-koni combination If the shocks are stock ej9 the springs because of their hardness stand up the car. For example with koni yellow shocks there is no such problem because they have adjustable springs position. Also one secret is how fasten the bolts on lower co...

Re: Driving ergonomics during long distance driving

Cruise control, yes it is nice thing! USA and Canada civics had cruise control both eg and ek generations. You will need the cruise control device in the engine compartment, compatible ecu, pedals assembly (throttle, brake and clutch), switch that goes on steering wheel and the harness. https://lh3....

Symon wrote: You probably wanted to say oem EJ9 shocks not springs?
yes I mean shocks of ej9 can't handle the dc2 springs properly and will fail faster as they will with oem ej9 springs

Re: New Springs with OEM damper?

dc2 springs has spring rate of 4.4 kg both front and rear, so oem ej9 shocks can't handle these springs.
They must fit either with ek9 shocks or aftermarket ones like koni yellows, bilstein sport, tein etc.
dc2 springs lower the car about 1.5cm at front and 1-1.5cm at rear axle

Re: New Springs with OEM damper?

The way is to go with ek9 or dc2 springs.
Ek9 gas little bit softer springs than dc2 but I suggest to add a nice set of shock absorbers too, like koni or OEM ek9 ones
