I think 250hp is achievable if your willing to put the money in, from a 1.4 though its going to be challenging.

Wow those mileages are great, go Honda!! My Ej9 is hitting 94,000 miles (151,200 KM) now, not too bad for a 1996 car.

Ive heard that its the D-series rods that are the weak point, but then again most people boost their D's so your setting yourself up for trouble if you dont get better rods...

Its all great saying that bisi rocks, we know this. What other options are there available? are the ebay headers really that bad? Obviously the more the you pay the better gains and quality but what If I dont want to pay $600 for an exhuast manifold???

I brought my EJ9 this march with 93,000 Miles on the clock for £1075. Im pretty happy with my purchase bodywork is pretty good aswell. This is England though cars are cheaper here im guessing.

Plus shifting your powerband all the way to the top is gonna kill mid range let alone low down, it would have to be a pure track car, the idle speed would be stupidly high for daily driving. The D16Y8 vs D16Z6 thing is debatable the Y8's valves are more parallel than the Z6 I believe but all in all ...
