Re: Help need bin archive for mini-me

I can post the calibration file and some datalogs?

People who have eCtune installed can open it and "replay" the tuning sessions of Dodo's mini-me... Also you can view the table's parameters, etc..

Re: ecu with vtec, ecu without vtec

A P06 does NOT have VTEC, but you can modify it.

P28 and P30 already have VTEC, because they are used for vtec-engines.
The P06 is used for the D15B7 wich didn't have VTEC.

ECU are 99% the same, P06 is only missing some components for VTEC. Install the components and you can use VTEC

Re: Piggybacks

The old Apexi's with VTEC were bad ... They switched on to VTEC , but the ECU did not switch to VTEC...

The newer ones had a correction value.

Both Apexi's work by manipulating MAP..

Re: why OBD1?

Most people use OBD1 because it is easily to change. To modifiy a OBD1 ECU for a specific engine you need aprox. 20 euro. For a OBD2 ECU is would be aprox. 120 euro. An other advantage of OBD1 is the software that is being use to tune. Software like eCtune, Crome, Hondata, Neptune all are based on O...

Re: keys after swap ECU

5th gen Civic had NO immo. ( Not Honda)
6th gen Civic had immo (Honda)

If you want to be sure, just instal an external immobiliser?

Re: keys after swap ECU

No. The immobilisersystem is partly integrated in the OBD2 ECU, so it can't work with a OBD1 ECU....

Re: PO6 --> P28

P06, P28 and P30 ECU are all from the same family. The P28 and P30 are the same hardware, only the software differs. The "chip/ROM/Bin" desides if it is a P28 or a P30. P06 doesn't have the VTEC routine but is easily modded. The biggest problem is to find the obsolete component for the VTE...

Re: Help need bin archive for mini-me

D14 minime runs reasonable on a stock D16Z6 bin. Closed loop part runs OK, open loop is a little bit much rich :)

I can post a screenshot from a minime bin. I'm not going to post bin-files...
Joris, Am I allowed to post a screenshot of your bin? And a stock P28 screenshot to compare?

Re: keys after swap ECU

The immobiliser key is stored in the ECU. It reads the code from your key and only starts when it's the same. When you swap to OBD1 then there is no problem.

There is also a way to disable the immobiliser by replacing a programmed chip inside the ECU.

Re: Piggybacks

Piggybacks sucks :)

Why?
A piggyback normally manipulates the MAP-signal and there by it not only manipulates the fuel table, but also the timing table...
Piggybacks are usefull when real chiptuning is not possible, or for very small corrections.
