Re: P28 LIMP MODE: After D16Z6 Intake Manifold & OBD1 Swap
I kept reading and reading everywhere and to be honest I think your right it could be the ECU more so the actual BaseMap chip, if the injectors were bad, or the MAP was bad my car would have had issues with the stock ECU which its not and I read your post on HMT.com and it sounds just like my situat...

Re: P28 LIMP MODE: After D16Z6 Intake Manifold & OBD1 Swap
What your saying sounds legit man and my car engine code just for the record its D14z2 (its etched on the plate in my engine bay) I am confident to say that my car is actually OBD2b... as a final reminder you still think I should check with a different harness? I know what you mean about the capacit...

Re: P28 LIMP MODE: After D16Z6 Intake Manifold & OBD1 Swap
I think I'm going to stay away from the P28 for now as I have a chipped one and will try and get my hands on a p06 as everyone else who done a IM swap here used it without any issues. Also what about the timing issue, I read on Sebastix's IM swap about adjusting it to 16 BTDC as my one hasn't done t...

Re: P28 LIMP MODE: After D16Z6 Intake Manifold & OBD1 Swap
Yeah I totally agree, I will have to sit and wait until I can found one on EBAY. I may also try and get in contact with some scrap yards and see if they have any...

Re: P28 LIMP MODE: After D16Z6 Intake Manifold & OBD1 Swap
Yeah as soon as I put the P28 in I had a strong suspicion that its the ECU... To be honest when the P28 is in and now that its been setup for this ECU (obd1) its runs nice and idles well, but that damn limp mode is annoying. I would like to really get my hands on a P06 but cant get anything around h...

P28 LIMP MODE: After D16Z6 Intake Manifold & OBD1 Swap
I have a real big problem. After doing the Intake Manifold swap I had the MIL light come on. The Intake Manifold is hooked up but if you look at my newbie corner post it has other details that could have contribute to this. After putting in my P28 ECU (without the basemap chip) it could barley stay ...

Re: Post your mileage
Yeah I'm definitely taking care of the car, its why I am here to learn more about it. Also I have head some mad stories of some guy who had his car about 15+ years and never serviced it and after all this time his car (Honda Accord) gasket blew, he got it fixed and its still running well, plus anoth...

Re: Post your mileage
Sheesh I thought I was the only one running high. My one shows 131,000 miles on the clock and still running sweet.

Re: OBD2B to OBD1 Conversion for a 99 Civic - Can it be done?
It's an OEM colour called Super Sonic Blue its blue with a hint of purple (kinda 2 tone). I really like this colour so much I actually bought 2 Civics in the same colour. The one in my Newbie profile is my 98 model called the Illusion, I have a new one which is the facelift version 99 model but its ...
