Re: Dropping idle
Yeah I guess it can be, but I have also read that many of the 'self learning' (a.k.a slowly converging) variables have been abandoned or never used by Honda in the first place. In my mapped cars I never saw long term fuel correction other than 0% for instance. Perhaps it can be that the TB itself do...

Re: d16a6 head on d14a3/4 block
Fun fact, my D14 VTEC has been tuned recently. Due to catalytic converter and slightly less noisy exhaust it only reached 139 bhp... that same day we fully tested the non-VTEC full rpms range as well, it got so close - 133 bhp... so anybody with a non-VTEC D14 can reach 133 bhp to my knowledge and s...

To have acces to all boards an...

Re: D16Z6 swap code 41
Hey, welcome to the board. Code 41 is specifically the heating element failing in the lambda sensor. There should be 10-40 Ohm measured over the two pins on the lambda connector opposite of the lip in the 4-pin connector. Usually its the two wires with the same color. Depending on brand it usually i...

Re: d16a6 head on d14a3/4 block
Welcome to the board Unac. I don't know about the compression numbers and whether the piston does properly fit this combination, but other than that it sounds a bit like a reversed mini-me. So I guess that should work. And as for the non-VTEC vs VEC discussion, I guess you're right about what to exp...

Re: d14a4 idle problem
No, the D15B2/D15B7 type engines with the plugs on the other side have different dimensions. You can make them fit buts it is nasty.

Re: D14/d15 build
I do not know how the bearings compare, but deckheight is the same if I am correctly informed (both 207 mm). So there is a chance you can easily stroke the engine this way. Open it up, try it and let us know .

Re: d14a4 idle problem
Yeah very likely the culprit found. Got myself an aftermarket brand which runs perfect. Forgot the brand though... but from akr-performance I believe.
