Re: difference between stock springs
Because B-series engine must be over 20kg heavier than D you can see where your problem comes from. You must therefore buy springs meant for a B-series equipped civic.

Re: 1996 - 1998 Brake Upgrade
Thanks for the reply Betek, so 262mm discs from a 1998+ EJ9 will not fit? Okay I will need to get myself some knuckles and calipers from a 262mm EJ9. Anything else I need for the swap (cables, etc) I can get from the EJ9 whilst I am there? Will probably get the front ARB and mounts aswell.

Re: Cooling and Warm up
Temperature changes as soon as I put heating fans on so it sounds like a faulty thermostat. Will replace that ASAP (good because I need to bleed coolant when swapping to D16 IM anyway, thanks guys.
Betek can you work your magic and give me a part number for D14A4?

Re: difference between stock springs
Depends if you mean the B 1.6 civic or D 1.6. B is certainly different. D probably but may depend on spec of the car the engine comes from. I can tell you now that fitting springs that lowered an MB6 (B18C engine) front by 30mm will lower mine by considerably less (~10mm) due to weight difference on...

Re: Chassis Reinforcement
Really interested in a rear brace. Just fitted a front brace from a MB civic, works great but doesnt quite clear shocks so small amount of cutting is required. Do any civics come with a rear brace standard? Anything that will fit with only minor mods (drilling, small amount of cutting, etc). Not sur...

Cooling and Warm up
Hi guys was wondering on your thoughts on my problem. It's now approaching winter and every year I have the same problem, my car does not warm up properly (settle at about midway on the temp gauge) if I drive the car with interior heating on. Obviously this means I get very cold when driving. Vehicl...

1996 - 1998 Brake Upgrade
As we know the 1996 car has smaller diameter front brakes 240mm instead of 262mm IIRC, is this a simple bolt on swap like I imagine it should be? What else needs modifying? I need to upgrade my EJ9 brakes for cheap, preferably stock parts I can find in a scrappy or on ebay. What is my best option an...

You should be proud
What work has been done on it to keep it going that far? Engine and bodywork wise.
