New Springs with OEM damper?

Post by Law_ »

How about Springs?
are they good as a temporary alternative for the car (before coil overs) ?
i was looking at the car and i was needing to drop like 7 - 8 on the back wheels. Are there any springs capable of doing that?

Eibach pro kit is a very good option. Still you will fade your stock shock very quickly.
If i were you i would try to buy a second hand ek9 or dc2 suspension. You can find them in very good prices.
At last don't lower your car more than 3.5 cm with stock shocks!

pro kit downs the car 3 or 3,5 cm and is a progressive spring. i listen that don't fade the stock shockers.

That is great. Still my OEM dampers are with 100'000 km only !
I wont have money to put coil-over yet, but i'm killing myself everyday just to see my car so high ! so, i would very likely try the springs...
Im opened to discussion about that ;)

100.000 with stock shocks? It depends on use but it is long enough! Put the eibach springs but inspect your shocks for leaks often! I am sure your car will hand better.
