aftermarket lug nuts

Have you used aftermarket lug nuts? Apart from less weight and probably strength do you know any other merits?

The thing i am afraid most is that they will lose their color when trying to get the rims out.

I have used Black racing lug nuts (extended) ,they were anodized red and after a year they turned pink in color.Other then that i never had any problems with them i loved them cause they would stick out of the wheel . 8-) Don't use them on stock wheels that's asking for problems.Stock honda wheels use round curved contact area ,most aftermarket wheels use straight tapered contact area. Also use a momentum wrench to fasten those alu lug nuts, you don't want to over tighten them!

Right now i have Muteki lug nuts ,they are hard steel and painted in red.The paint sucks it chips off to easy...
Quote from Endyn:"The combustion chamber is a better shape than the DOHC.So don't chunk those 1.6 SOHC engines, they can make really good power. For a pure performance application, regardless of application, I'd choose the SOHC. No bull!"

When i bought my car,she was with ugly aftermarket alu-wheels lug nuts, but they were realy ugly and rusty. I decided to polish the original metal rims lug nuts ,and put them with tne new 15 inch Azev wheels. And here it is the result,i think they are realy beautiful, and they are original Honda lug nuts ;)
