Okay guys, my friends friend has crashed his prelude. Prelude is now being broken for parts. My friend drives an MB.. civic and has 262mm brakes (maybe 259mm according to this topic: "Specifications of stock ej9 braking system and wheels"). He will be taking the prelude brakes but I can have his brakes and wheels. Will his brakes fit on my EJ9? I understand I will need different knuckles (from a 262mm civic). He has upgraded discs but oem pads so performance should increase. Also what should I do about the rear? I will be upgrading to 14" wheels to accomodate the 262mm brakes so what set-up should I go with on the rear?

On a side note, anyone want to but any prelude parts? =P

As I know there is no civic 1988-2000 with 259mm brakes. Civics brakes on the front are 240mm or 262mm or 282mm.
And for the rear 1988-2000 drums or 239mm discs or 260mm discs.

The 259mm brake discs look like this (see photo) This type of discs have some accords and some preludes

The civic brake discs types is this

Maybe the 259's are on an MB6 (top spec with B18C) as that shares a lot of parts with integra type R including brakes IIRC since it has different bolt pattern on hubs.

I will ask about the seats Saxo.

Will I need any parts to fit civic discs to my rear or will they fit onto 1996 EJ9 rear trailing arm?

Definitely no. The MB6 have 282mm front brake discs 4 bolt pattern 4x114.3
DC2 95-97 had 262mm front discs 4x114.3
DC2 98-00 had 282mm front discs 5x114.3

No because the civic is off the road at the moment and bought a Prelude as a daily instead =P Still interested in the swap for the civic though.
