SFI -> OBD1

Post by ilya »

:D my head is burning, my car is broken ... but it is not free to continue the path PGMFI !!!
Finally, I gathered up. everything. Well were plotting but trifles. I now have 2 projects that I'm doing.

-Installation of air conditioning (nothing interesting, a lot of nerves, it is just BIG LEGO);
-Setting D16Z6 head and electronics (ECU, WIRING).

and so I learned that proves we have not OBD2a\b namely SFI.
that does not work 4 injector, but only 2. that conventional adapters do not work. Also, if you remember me, i have AT-Gearbox. But these are trifles.

Today I started to unsolder OBD1 ECU, i See tables to compare. and I realized that I do not have values of 4 wires, which are not described or where in the OBD1.
Perhaps you know them, help:

-A10
-A14
-B6
-D5

ps. Wiring and the markups below 60! wires is a bad deal ))) but I love this car. hope to have the strength that would do everything I want.

Nope, can't find shit about these 4... perhaps AT related or EGR... or ELD related pins?

EGR? I think all the sensors are present in both ECU. These 4 is also not yet clear. for the AT box is also not suitable. will do a process of elimination.
great job.

DODO - tell me what section you took the wire?
wire diameter? ECU from the sensors. new. 0.5 0.7 mm?

I used 0.75... here in NL very hard to come by. I think 0.5 is still safe, my 0.75 is always a little fatter than OEM. Except for some power supply and grounds which seem the same.

Problem is overhere they only sell 0.2 (much too tiny) or 1.5 (one fat wire) and nothing in between. I used to have a specialist nearby who sold me 0.75, but sonce I moved I don't have a good supply anymore. Probably have to buy it from Conrad online or something now. What happened to decent supply stores? :mrgreen:

Just a quick question about SFI. If we obd1 will we have MPI? And finally SFI affects fuel consumption in a negative way?

I'm sure it would only get better not worse swapping to MPFI.
1996 EJ9 Civic
1998 BB8 Prelude Motegi VTi
1998, B16A2 EK4 Civic VTi

Aims:
EJ9 - Now my GF's car.
BB8 - Rebuild after crash damage to front end.
EK4 - Daily driver. Strip and track prep once prelude project complete

Theoretically MPi can be a bit better. Practically... it doesn't get you anything. Though it seemed my car ran leaner afterwards, up to 17 km per litre when I had the 137 bhp setup without all the Skunk2 stuff...
