Need help on ecu PLZZ (99-00 civic d15z4)

Help with obd1 swap agen

what are the specific parts i need to do the obd1 swap?

1. 92-95 civic engine harness (my engine is non vtec and MT would a vtec AT harness be usable)

2. 92-95 mpfi dizzy from a vtec or nonvtec?

3. P06 ecu

4. intake mani (i have a jdm d15b 3 stage side drafted mani on mine now will the 3 wire iacv work or do i need to get 2 wire ones)

is that all to the parts list i need to make the swap from sfi to obd1

what u spec now? motor, head,intake, ecu. year of car? and what u want get from "new spec".

hi i have a d15z4 SFI (DONT KNOW IF ITS THE SAME AS DPFI???) p2e ecu i have i/h/e its a 99 civic lxi i want to go the way of MPFI and also i want to chip the ecu ..CAN U HELP plz

SFI, DPFI, MPFI and obd1 help??

is this all the same? is SFI the same as DPFI? there are alot of threads on DPFI to MPFI but only obd0 to obd1.. so im trying to find out if its the same process in conversion..confued need help seem like that same thing change dizzy intake mani an wire up??

first - read dodo art, it realy help for starting.


ok. u want chipped OBDI PGMFI.
1. you need horizontal IM (like CRX or D16Z6 or D16Y8)
2. you need ECU with your option (gearbox, ABS, etc...)
3. you need Dizzy, and this dizzy must be fit to your Cylinder head. (with 9 pins)
4. you need TB from D15 D16 with out RACV
5. you need IACV fits to your horizontal IM.

also gaskets (intake,exaust, TB)
also liquid (coolant and oil)

of course u stay with your CHead D14. and u could use any ECU OBD1.
you need chip and programmator for loading firmware to chip.

after installing all device you fuel card setup to D16 (and 240cc JET's) u must programming chip ECU to D14 and 190cc jets. or your ride will be very rich :D

Your posting a lot of questions about the OBD1 conversion, it would probably be best to just make one thread as you will probably get more replies.

In response to your question, our engines are DPFI (a misleading name) we have 4 injectors however 2 injectors are linked and fire at the same time. SPFI is where there is only one injector that provides the fuel for all the cylinders, similar to having a carburettor. When you convert to OBD1 you will be running MPFI i.e. the 4 injectors fire independently.

EJ9 - Now my GF's car.
BB8 - Rebuild after crash damage to front end.
EK4 - Daily driver. Strip and track prep once prelude project complete

Ah well no. DPFi means 2 injectors not 4.

Honda attempted to call what we have SFi, from Simplified Fuel injection jada jada.

So:
D15B2 engine, 2 injectors (one main, one helper) = DPFi (Dual ...)
D14A3/A4 engine, 4 injectors squirting in pairs = SFi
D15B7 and alllll the rest, 4 injectors squirting sequential, = MPFi (Multi ...

SPFi (Single... )? No Honda engine I know from the top of my head that fits that description. Probably in the past or on bikes they got them. Btw I think the P comes from Programmable isn't it?
