That is so damn cool, I would love to get that and a diffuser a subtle spoiler and canards for my Civic. Think I might want to do that in future to be unique... "sigh"... wish I had the money.
I guess one thing at a time eh...

It is a good item for keep the water out of engine bay.
For aerodynamic reason i don't believe because it doesn't have fins to guide the air correctly under the car.
And when we need to replace oil and the oil filter we must take it out every time.

you are right about that. Still in my occasion i think that it will save me from water. Where i live water tends to flood the roads under heavy rain and it makes very difficult to drive. The very low ride of my civic in combination with the relocation of the o2 sensor due to the 4-1 header design, leads to malfunction of the sensor due to change in readings when the exhaust gets covered with cold water. Furthermore muddy water gets in the engine and it's like hell. The bearing of the alternator becomes noisy etc.
It's a nighmare for me driving in conditions like these.
Still i believe there might be clearance issues and things hitting on that cover , thus becoming noisy, which i also despise

Air turbulence is significantly reduced, producing a more stable ride at higher speeds and increasing down force by creating higher suction pressures between the panel and road. Engine temperatures are reduced and stabilized by removing heat from the engine compartment with specialized slits made to draw out hot air while the vehicle is in motion. This is successfully achieved during the creation of down force, as this negative pressure sucks out the heat and is then swooped out by colder air moving underneath. Provides greater protection under the engine than stock plastic panels during heavy track or circuit racing competitions.

No offence but 2mm aluminium is nothing .
If you scrape the car that 2mm will be gone in no time.
I would either use 2mm steel or 3-4mm aluminium plate.
You can make this yourself if you want.

yea seems like a lot of money for not much, i dont think the downforce would ever be felt either since when do we ever drive fast enough for sufficient air flow. It does look cool though ^_^

Hihi, RSP is really close to me, ah well... was planning to start up some serious shit myself concerning bottom cleaning. Though the exhaust needs to be free on my EJ1... 5 cm clearance, don't want a sheet af metal nibbling of another cm.
And with the EJ1... I seriously could use the downforce on the track, so I would use it. And I would 1/4 mile test it to see if top speed improves. This March the EJ1 can hopefully set a benchmark, after which I only change aerodynamics during the year. That's the plan...
Ow and in the front plate I really want slits guiding airflow to the brakes, since I burned them away once completely on the track, I could use each CFM of airflow I can grap. And a good bottomplate would be ideal. Better than tubes I guess.
