my problem only appeared after the swap, as far as im aware... im thinking maybe i failed at bleeding the coolant, since that seems to be the first step for 'erratic honda idle' on google

Yes I did the adjustment of the idle screw, first a half turn then a full turn but the problem didn't go away
Maybe I will try again in the near future

not an actual problem but might be in the near future. The last weeks i move the car every 2-3 days a week, so i have noticed that when there are 4-5 days of no use, when i start in the morning the idle is at 1500rpms (typical) and then in 1-2 seconds it will drop almost suddenly for 200rpms and will work from there until hot (gradual decline to the 750rpms). What i mean is that it hasn't got a linear function in this drop. What might be?

Yes it does. But i think that i have solved my problem and took a bit of lag away at lower revs too.

I took the vac off the fuel pressure regulator.

Something interesting that happened to me was after not driving (or starting the car) for about 1 month and a half; for the first few hours of driving no matter whether the engine was cold or warm the idle speed would vary between 1000 and 2000 rpm once a second. As soon as I but on some throttle it would go away. Bear in mind this is a stock D14. Must've been the RACV getting stuck and then unstuck or something I don't know but it's gone now and hasn't come back. I was hoping it wouldn't go so I had an excuse to clean it out and fit my Y8 IM to be honest...

so we should beware of the unfrequent use of the car and not the overuse
I have to change the oil tomorrow and move the car a bit, I am with the same gas tank for over a month
