PCV Valve

Post by BETEK »

PCV Valve=Positive Crankcase Ventilation Valve
Helps to keep away the moisture out of the engine oil and relieving pressure from the engine to prevent oil leaks and oil consumption.
Engine vacuum in intake manifold sucks fumes from the crankcase and burns them harmlessly in the engine
If the PCV Valve fails, severe sludge can build up and oil leaks can occur.

Yes it is still there!
When swapping Intake Manifold it is chance to change PCV Valve with new one because we have easy access to it.

Is maintenance issue if it works it is good! For example oil filter doesn't give any gain but if not changed then might appear problem to the engine.
If PCV Valve not work, then slowly appearing some problems for example moisture in the oil.
