Hi all :mrgreen:

Just wanted to ask which gasket to get for the TB? I'll put a stock D14A3 TB on an IM from a D16 (dunno actually if Z6 or Y8 :oops: it's from an ESI if that helps). I'll go an order the gasket but I still have the D14 TB on the car so couldn't take a look if it's any different to the D16 one so wanted to ask you guys if it's the same or which one should I order.

Thx 8-)

It looks very similar to Z6 but many engines seem to use that manifold. A gasket for Z6 should fit though.

@ilya - really looks like your one. Then it's probably from a D16Z6.

@mynameisowen - "X6" gasket? You mean any gasket for a D16 engine or...?

Just wanted to ask if everyone who has swapped his IM is experiencing "bad" idle - I mean that the car won't idle cold/warm liked it does now (steady)?

Another question really bugging my mind is the RACV/IACV. Hope someone can help.

1. if I use the D16Z6 IM with my D14 TB I must disconnect the IACV cause the idle will be controled by the D14 RACV that's in the TB?

2. if I swap then for the p28 ecu I'm gonna have to disconnect the RACV and connect the IACV? If so will I have to run new cables from the IACV to the p28 ECU or is the connector the same as for the RACV?

I'm really a complicator tbh :lol: still hope someone can help me :mrgreen:

3. read some threads about this but it's nowhere explained exactly or at least I didn't find it. What's up with the TA when you swap IMs?

1. when swap IM. u disconnect IACV and closed it.

2. when u swap ECU u must disconnect RACV and open and install IACV.
+distr
+jets
+cables\connector...

3. TA. in d14 it is in intake filter box. when u swap IM u must cut it, and connect with TA in IM D16. + and - not mean how u connect it.

and read in left side part "OBD1 swap D14A3/4" find "RACV to IACV",

DODO say "You can use the old RACV wires, the connector with 3 wires should be replaced by a connector with 2 wires"

Distr = distributor? From a D16Z6?
Jets = injectors?
Cables\connector = for the IACV or?

3. Does the connector for the D14 TA fit on the TA that's already on the D16Z6 IM?

Very last question: no, just a different type connector though 2 pins both.
