Someone on a french forum did the d16 im swap with a d16y8 IM.

He feels that he lost a lot of torque from 0 to 4500, and feels better than stock from 4500 to 7200.

What you think of that? Is there anyone that can confirm? Is the loss of torque so impressive?

D16Y8 intake manifold is marginally better in tearms of torque, at least in D14s... I've seen some graphs before.

Loss of torque in lower revs seems more a matter of bad mixture now. I only gained torque over the entire band after the IM swap.

hey guys, i'm certainly not the only one that figured this out, but do you remember that bolt on the IM that is very hard to reach? well i made a big hole to be able to pass the 12mm wrench and make it ten times easier. I used a drill and a dremel, the mod took around 10 minutes and will save me like 20... hehe

Thats what i call engineering x) Great work. Guess IM would never break or bend. It is light and tightly bolted. Seems nice !
