Blox Intake Manifold

Post by saxophonias »

This an intake manifold produced by Blox Racing.

It's very similar to the skunk2 style manifold. It's also cheaper.

I have a ALL Motor Setup ;)

It sucks! Our displacement is tooo low for this mani. It kills my throttle response and i lost power at all rpm ranges, big hole in bottom end and no increase in upper rpms.
I think its only useful for 1,6l Engines which are modded hard with big cam and High CR,maybe for a good flowing Z6 Head.

This Mani is a Replica from a Integra DC2 B18 Engine, its obviously thats overkill for the little d14. And it fits crappy,i must cut a corner out cause it hits the alternator. The shape inside and the finish is very bad for air flow.
Not to compare with the Skunk2 one,you get what you pay for.

If you go NA on a D than go with the Z6 one, if you boost that shit than take the y8 mani.

And the stock 56mm Throttle Body is much enough for the d14 too. Stick with it

Me too =P

You only hear of All motor setups in america. Im quite unsure of what the term actually means, does it just mean super-duper NA???

i disagree about the performance of big manifolds for d14 engines. This manifold may be mal designed but since i have a performer X manifold, which is even bigger, i can say that it is very productive throughout the powerband. Of course you have to add a bigger exhaust too, in order to mate the induction increase with the exhaust flow. Z6/y8 manifold are great value-power for money of course.
