Haven't made pics yet, but here's an example...

Here you can find more info about the comptech airbox... :)

I'm very glad with the airbox, much more torque at low rpm!!

The Aem V2 was tested on a local dyno

When it was extended down into the bumper it has less power than when it was in the bay!

Hmm interesting. Could this mean that the size and shape of inlet tubes is really that important?
What diameter was the tubing? What power differences where there?

It's in the acoustics... minor length changes play an enormous role. I never got around playing with it, but some experimenting on dyno's could provide losses up to 8 hp when done wrong.

I had a cool chamber once, removed it since it only pulled from 7000 rpm... ok, to be honest from there it pulled hard since it was the only time I was able to get 230 kmh on the needle (German Autobahn!), but still it did not do what I wanted.

Here is mine home-made CAI . All pipes are at 60mm . The heatshield is made of italbond, its sandwich of 2 peaces of aluminium and hard rubber. At the top of the heatshield i put a ruuber from the back trunk of renault 19 , and inside the heatshielded space ,there is a pipe wich goes to front bumper for fresh air. The sound is great!
