IM connections?

Post by twister »

I'm at the point of mouting the z6 IM on mij D14z2, but before that i still have a few questions, would be very nice if you guys could help so ik mount it today!

Where does the hose ABOVE the PCVhose goes to?
i know it's a coolantline, but to where?
Image

What's this thing(small denso-pump on the right)? and where do i connect it to?
Image

The d14z2 IM had 2 coolant tubes coming out next to the most left runner, the d16z2 IM has 3:
-where does the small horizontal one go to?
-where does the vertical one with the hose still on it go to?
Image

Thanks guys!

1st pic:
its a coolant line that goes to the RACV on the throttle body

2nd pic:
that denso pump thing is your EVAP, it goes into your IM (or dodo told me once this goes above the TB, or to just remove the hose all together)

3rd pic:
small horizontal one goes to the RACV on the throttle body also, u could just short circuit the hose from 1st pic and this hose, i have no idea what that vertical hose is though

maybe you should wait for someone else to post, i'm fairly sure but i'm no expert

Exactly.

About the vertical hose thing, its a double, some have it, some don't. Block it off if you run short on the other side, which you do with D14 engines.

Alrightthat sounds pretty clear, but on civicclubholland people told me;
-i should put on the connector on the RACV
-i should short-circuit the 2 tubes coming out of the RACv

-i should short-circuit the 2 thin coolant tubes next to the first runner
-and i should block off the 3 coolant tube wich is located above the PCV,
is that correct?

because in the above-mentioned way, the RACV still keeps working but without warming the TB with coolant?
is this also correct?

alright, will try the way of relooping en blockingoff first.

For the oem fuelpressure-regulator, the vacuumline on the top goes to the IM, but the slightly bigger tube on the bottomside of the FPR? is that the fuel return line? because i can't seem to find the place where it should go to?

and for the densopump/evap it goes straight to my plenum?

thanks guys!

I think there are some pictures floating around of what it should look like on a stock Z6 and you could go from there. Hopefully the guy who posted them will see this thread, I think it was either betek or ilya...

OEM FPR question; yes it is the fuel return line. It comes from down below the brake cilinder, perhaps the line dropped? On the D14 manifold a small s-curve metal line was presnt before entering the rubber line. The s-curved metal line will no longer be used.

EVAP, yes straight to plenum.

I took a look yesterday and yes indeed, it was laying somewhere between 2 engine harnesses, so it looked like it was a part of it, but i found, it was a real "BingO"-moment :P

I think i understand now where every hose should go to, and wich one should be blocked off, so i hope to have everything mounted this evening!

i'll keep you updated!
