I have a quick questino about the gaskets... as this is the biggest porblem i've had with exhausts so far.#

if I get a 2.5" diamter CAT then do I need a 2.5" diameter header and mid pipe? also are the gaskets a standard size?? What do you guys use

Is D16Y8 stock complete exhaust (without Exhaust manifold) anything nice?

it would be restrictively small. d14s have 42mm cat back diameter. d15z6 has 39mm, d16 i don't know but i don't think it is going to be any bigger.

i would say it is needed for some backpressure and reduction of noise. Still, not the stock one which is restrictive

Hello does anyone know the diameter of the b pipe from a del sol esi d16z6?
In my d14a4 the previous owner installed a ek4 catalytic converter, del sol b pipe and ej9 muffler (i installed 4 2 1 headers a few days ago)

I dont know if its better or worse than stock ,but i think that when the car reaches 6500 rpm it looks like it doesnt pull has hard from that point on, but maybe these engines are like this
Also is the ek4 catalytic converter any diferent from the ej9 one

B-pipe as in second part of the exhaust header? I believe that is all very similar including catalytic converter. Only exception is EK9 which has larger diameter flange and catalytic converter.

Furthermore, the D16Z6 exhaust header by itself is a very good upgrade in my opinion.
