In Portugal, the values are also the same or aprox. the same
It is common to remove the catalytic converter ceramic interior
Other solution is to install phalanges to re-insert the cat when the car goes to MOT (IPO). I'll study both possibilities next week !

I had to place an exhaust silencer at my muffler as it was a bit noisy and i almost got a ticket the other days.
So i placed a detachable one. Have a look

Power is there despite odds! I think it's even a bit faster. Backpressure maybe

i dont think backpressure is important so far from combustion chamber. but anyway, there are many many factors that count. Why was you going to take a ticket?
Cheers

Well, sax's car is way less louder right now however i used to like it the way it sounded before.
In fact, you could easily be fooled by its awesome sound since it gave you the impression the sound was coming out of a much faster car.

Hi everyone im new here, has anyone spoke about the presence of the f**king O2 sensor thats on the cat, all the test pipes i can buy have no threaded ends for a sensor......? any help. i know the car wont run properly without the secondary sensor as it works in conjunction with the first one on the Exhaust mani.

hmm that is quite annoying, wasnt aware of that problem. is the o2 sensor before or after the cat??

Also make an intro thread so you can introduce yourself properly and show us your car!! :D

Some OBd2b cars have the second O2 sensor indeed, I actually never had to work with one.

Ehm, my Megan cat replacement has a second O2 bung. I used it for parallel OEM lambda and ZT2 lambda measurements. Turned out they were spot on each other. So Megan is your brand.

Got myself an omni power test pipe. Standard with O2 connection.

Good luck!
