I'd say very good investment, and yes it fits. The OEM cam gears D16/D14 are actually identical.

thats what i wanted to hear!! am i right in saying il want them (the dyno people) to retard the cam and advance ignition?its off for a remap soon since the |IM swap has made the car run abit lean i think....

I think you say it correctly. But take small steps at a time.

As about the lean running, normally IM swaps tent to run rich! Contradictory to what one would think. I guess the FPR on the D16 fuel rails has a slightly higher pressure, but it's guessing.

ahhhhh useful information, do you know much about adjustable pressure regulatrs?is there any pages on them?
I have one and u say it runs rich becaus of the d16 regulator?

Adjustable does not make me happy at all, one I had was very much influenced by weather changes. On cold days it would run lean. My guess the spring stiffness went down due to poor temperature response. Yes D16 might run rich, but to me not unacceptable rich. Its just that, a bit rich.

yep Dodo you were correct again, swapped it last week and the engine light doesnt come on anymore!
