The reason of the problem has been found out but the solution is not yet. The vtec rocker arms belonging to 1st and 4th cylinders are getting stuck once the car goes into vtec. After tapping on those rocker arms with the help of a hammer, they became loose and when i started the car it was running perfect. When i unplugged either of the 1st or 4th plug cable the idle would drop as it should. Then i took the car for a drive without engaging vtec at first and there wasn't any shaking at idle. But when i pushed the car opening vtec the sluggish shaking idle came back. I'm going to tear apart the cam rocker assembly in a few days to see if i can find out why they are getting stuck. Any helping info about this would be appreciated.

It must be something to do with when VTEC is engaged like you said. When engaged does the engine feel normall?? Deffinately tear it apart and inspect each part very well.

Never heard of this before, something wrong with the cylinders that engage VTEC in the rockerarms perhaps... them getting stuck or anything on the way back after VTEC? Like they don't release well after VTEC has been engaged.

I am really thinking this way since you described the symptoms as such.

Finally, i had time to take apart the rocker assembly. Problem was with the pins in the rockers that slide to lock for vtec lobe use. The one in 1st and 4th would go into the hole with the spring but wouldn't come out. Cleaned them with some brake cleaner, sanded them down a tad and the problem is gone now.
