here are a few old videos of the engine revving in idle with the Fidanza and lightweight pulley [0.8 kg pulley vs 3.5 kg stock]:

the revs do drop slightly quicker but I just shift quicker to compensate. other than that, I felt an *increase* in wheel torque and not a decrease as several people keep saying. the reason being that a lesser proportion of torque is needed to accelerate the flywheel and hence more of it is available at the wheels.

here are a couple of VBox plots before and after the pulley and fluwheel change.

wow! Astonished! It revs like a motorcycle
Is it mainly due to the pulley or the flywheel?

I cant say one thing specifically. I would guess it is a combination of the pulley, flywheel and the short stroke of the 1.3.
flywheel would definitely contribute ore than the pulley though. it accounted for approximately 6 kg decrease in weight while the pulley accounted for 2.5.

my current setup with the VTEC head isnt tuned properly yet. once it is, I will see how that revs with the stock pulley.

the crank pulley should better function if its made to handle higher pressure.
Lets say your crank pulley is at 150mm diameter .
For higher boost :-
Make a small , but bigger change to the diameter .
Acoording to the right change in size for the right model for ur car.

It can be leighter than but bigger than the one you have.
For example:-
175mm will give you higher boost by 14 PSI.
If ur engine has a much larger intercooler, you will not see high boost pressure , only much more power .
You will need to get a longer supercharger belt.
Move the factory pointer outward
Run a smaller idler pulley.
The tunning belt alternator pulley works decently when flipped around backwards and shimmer out a tad.
The lieght weight pulley should be lighter by 30% from the factory pulley.

But you need to ne careful what you buy.

i reckon, if its a well made and balanced pulley.
there should not be a problem with vibrations.
there is even a OEM one for b-series the N1 enduro pulley.
i love to try a lightweight pulley on my d14 soon.
