D15Z6 Headswap

Post by sandras »

Hello,

I have the opportunity to swap my entire head, intake manifold, wiring loom, ECU, from D14A3 to D15Z6. Will I need to remap the ECU or will it just work? As far as I understand the swap would be straightforward, mechanically speaking? I'm not looking for huge powergains, in fact, I what I would really like to see is the fuel economy of VTEC-E.

Thanks, have a nice day.

You will need ecu with vtec controll and remap it to work with 1400cc engine

Even if I also swap the 1500cc injectors? Doesn't the ECU just calculate the ammount of fuel injected depending on the intake of air? Help me understand. : )

You can use the d15z6 ecu...it wil be fine ....the capacity of the engine wil be very close...
ps: do you have a knock sensor on that d15z6 ?
