Valve wear is down to heat and lack of lubrication in gas, this effect can be corrected by using a lube system such as flashlube. But to refer back to the maths it is still cheaper to ultimately refresh the head after high mileages. Only fit valvelube if the engine is known to be susceptible to rapid valve wear and to be honest I wouldn't choose a car like that in the first place for LPG use. I do my own conversions, it is by far one of the easiest mods you can do to a car. I bought what I needed either used or NOS on ebay for approx £100. Just hit 112000 miles which is 180000km. Am now driving 80 miles a day to work and back so the mileage will start increasing rapidly. Really need to now invest much more time and money on keeping the civic ready for the yeard ahead.

I have some small spots of rust at the moment (arches surprise surprise) and places that have been dented. I'm thinking of just getting some rubbing paper and sanding it down to bare metal and then painting it in blue again. Has anyone carried this out and what procedure should I take, also where can I get matching paint? Need to get this sorted before winter kicks in properly. I'm not too fussed about what it looks like, though it'd be great to do it properly.
