Instead of swap engine: add second D14. I know these kind of setups are very rare, but it would be so cool if somebody had the guts to produce a double headed EJ9, with 2 D14's ofcourse. Unfortunately those kinds of swaps are really expensive to perform and I think very rare to get them legally ok... maybe in UK this can be done?

But I am getting a little overboard I think hehe.

what so for example have another d14 driving the rear wheels??? people in england do do this sometimes, its quite rare though. Ive heard of a few people putting K20's in the back of mini coopers (the old old ones) you can imagine the outcome :)

Exactly, there is an Audi-TT with this (in Germany?). It starred in Top Gear anyhow.

sounds crazy to me, im sure it would be so difficult to set up, you could invest the time and money on tuning your normal engine with the same or better outcome. It would be very fun to do though, crazy but fun :D

here what i was talking about; A supercharged K20A into a mini;

295Hp to the rear wheels in a car that weighs halve of one of ours....

Weight distribution for cornering is terrible in these setups. You want all weight focussed in a central point and turn around that. Having 2 big lumps of metal about 3 meters appart makes your car very hard to turn.

So yes... it isn't a smart way to go hehe.

mynameisowen wrote:thanks, im gonna write about the mini-me next. Could someone do a bit about suspension stuff as i dont know much on that subject, maybe polivios since you have some experience on the subject.

baz i think the list would be something like this;

1. Intake
2. Exhaust
3. Tune it, OBD1.
4. Mini-me
5. choose wether you want to go N/A or Turbo
6. For turbo: buy a turbo kit running around 4psi with standard components and tune
6: For N/A: buy a cam, increase compression, better manifolds, tune.

Swap engine is not allowed!!! traitor!!!! :)
I wont :mrgreen: just haven't got the money :lol:

what a ZC block on d14? Ive never seen it done so there must be a reason why it wouldnt work... probably best to just drop a ZC in your EJ9!!
