Hello,

As some of you have noticed, I am a new member of this community and would like to get some new knowledge about how to cost effectively tune my d14a3 engine. The most obvious and best tuning solution is replacing the restrictive TB gasket with a non restrictive one. I made my own gasket, so that was a $0 11kW (I doubt it, but so they say) upgrade!

The point of this thread is to gather a list of upgrades and find out their costs in the year 2013. It is important to do it now, because old cars prices have continuously dropped. So you could find scraps fairly cheap. Also new aftermarket parts could be cheaper, since there's less need for them.

Fire away!

EDIT1:changed thread headline from "The best and cheapest tuning choices for d14a3 in 2013" to "The best and cheapest tuning choices for d14a3/d14a4 in 2013"
EDIT2: Wrote down what I edited.

What about transmissions? Which transmissions would give a better acceleration on a manual d14? Very interested in this topic
