Finally got my Civic back on track! :D D16 block with D14 head runs absolutely fine and passed it's DVLA emmissions test without a cat. Story of my life, always short on pussy. :? Found a good strut brace but got let down on the Rover IM, the hunt goes on. In my LPG thread I've mentioned fitting a sequential direct injection gas system. This would give the option of throttle bodies or forced induction as the project comes along. Anybody with any info on ITB's?

Still trying to find the time to finish my D14 motor, 99% complete :) Hot news I've just acquired a low mileage D13B2 complete engine - 75 x 76 should rev freely. Even better if I can find 76mm pistons, should give a perfectly square 1380cc 8-) . Anybody know if it's possible?

Honda gives OEM pistons for rebuilding 3 options: standard size, 0.25mm and 0.50 bigger diameter pistons.
So why not if you put 75.5 mm piston will be close to 76mm

am I correct in saying a3/4 is the 16v version with the A8 being the 8v? that would probably explain why the A8 engine was struggling to make it past 105

Also d14a8 is with 16valves. I am quite sure that all 4-cylinder Honda engines from 1992 until today are with 16valves.
Reason for less power from a8 maybe is the ecu and camshaft

There are some 8V engines for applications such as the Jazz and Logo but as far as I am aware all more recent Civics are 16V. Somebody has offered me a 1992 CRX with a DOHC D engine that is in solid condition. He wants £1500, I'm very tempted. :?

Yes you are right.
I completely forgot the 8-valves i-DSI engines from the previous Jazz!

not the i dsi ones was looking on ebay earlier and saw a few a8 engines looked identical to the a3/4 ones. Noticed it stating 8v which would make sense on the lack of power, but then again wouldn't put it past the cam & ecu map being different
