So it has the d14a4 ECU? I can't remember of the top of my head which ecu corresponds to engine.

Aims:
EJ9 - Now my GF's car.

how can you tell it's the 90 version? Maybe the german owner removed the gasket and here you are. It's very widespread in German. Since it says d14a3 it can only be 75hp stockBETEK wrote:My car is from Germany D14A3 but with the 90hp.
I checked the gasket is the big one.
There is a huge confusion with the horsepower of D14A3, the most people know that this engine has 75hp but there was also 90hp edition too.
Also only in few aftermarket parts catalogue are written D14A3 with 90hp, the most write 75hp.

It can't be changed because at the throttle bolts that hold the gasket, is the original yellow paint.
If the bolts once removed then the paint will crack and you can recognize the removed throttle=changed gasket.

First of all hi all!!!i have a d14a3 civic and i wanna do the 75hp to 90hp gasket trick!i saw the pics and read your comments but i have some questions before i start!do i need to change my ecu to p3y too??cheers!
